Dear 4th Grade Band Parents,
We’ve had a busy couple of weeks - We’ve learned how to put our instruments together and how to make our first sounds. Every day we get a little better. Students should be practicing at home every day for small amounts of time - a few minutes here and there. This builds muscle memory and helps to build the habit of practicing. They’re assignment is to practice in the red book numbers 1-6. If they have a CD with their book, or an internet link - it’s a great idea to play along, as it helps center their pitch. If not, I will try to come up with an alternative for those students. I’m enjoying my time in our class - it’s always super exciting to see kids eyes when something “clicks” and you see the look of understanding. Key takeaways: Students need a place to practice. Students need to practice : ) If your student is in need of a book, they are available at The Master Musician, or on line. I’m here for you and your kids. Have a great week, Kathleen Smith CVC Band Cielo.vista.charter.band (Instagram) Cielovistacharterband.weebly.com (website)
